Remembrance_
This non-traditional dress project diverges from traditional fashion design by creating apparel without using textiles, aiming to foster creativity and embrace the trial-and-error design process. Inspired by conceptual artist Harriet Bart's work on memories and protection, the dress is crafted from disposable plastic lids, wire, aluminum foil, spray paint, and a heat gun. The design's progression represents the gradual confusion of dementia, with wire connections symbolizing neuron pathways and the fragility of memory connections. This exploration delves into the vulnerability of memory loss and its impact on personal identity.
